VISITING BHUTAN
All visitors must book through one of the Government recognized travel agents only such as us. All confirmed bookings should be made at least 8 weeks in advance.

ENTRY/EXIT BHUTAN
Entering points into Bhutan are by road through Phuentsholing in the south or by air from Paro. Druk Air, the National Carrier is linked to four cities in three countries which are Bangkok, Calcutta, New Delhi and Kathmandu. The DRUK AIR schedule can be obtained at www.drukair.com.bt. Exit can also be made through Samdrupjongkhar which is the frontier town and onto Guwahati to connect to Indian Airlines. However as per the government’s rule one-way travel has to be made by Druk Air.

VISA
The tour operator will apply for the visa on getting all the passport details from the clients, which will be required at least 6 weeks to enable to process the visa. The actual visa will only be stamped on arrival in Bhutan on payment of US$ 20 for a period of 2 weeks which can be extended on payment of additional US$ 15. All visitors will need 3 passport size photographs. It is mandatory to get the visa clearance before departing for Bhutan which have to be shown at the concerned overseas Druk Air stations.

DELAYED ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
There is no charge for delays in arrival and departure because of weather conditions disrupting flights or roadblocks. The visitors must however bear the cost of food, accommodation, transport and other services.

CURRENCY
The currency used in Bhutan is the Ngultrum (Nu). The Indian Rupee is also accepted and the value is at par with the Bhutanese Ngultrum. American Express, VISA and MASTER CARD credit cards are also accepted.

Tariffs are fixed by the Royal  Government of Bhutan.

Peak Season Rates: (March, April, May, September, October, and November)

1. US$240 per day for an individual traveler (inclusive of government surcharge)
2. US$230 per day per person for groups of two (inclusive of government surcharge)
3. US$200 per day per person for groups of 3 or more (no government surcharge)

Off Season Rates: (January, February, June, July, August, and December)

1. US$205 per day for an individual traveler (inclusive of surcharge)
2. US$195 per day per person for groups of two (inclusive of surcharge)
3. US$165 per day per person for groups of three or more (no surcharge applicable for group sizes of three and more)

Included in Price of Tours

1. 35 % Royalty taxes to the Government

On the above tariff 10% is commissionable to you which can be deducted at source, however it cannot be deducted from the surcharge for FITs mentioned above.

 Taxes generated from the tourism industry, is used by the Royal Government for:

1. Environmental protection work
2. Setting up foundations to ensure that the country's natural resources are being used efficiently
3. Actively protect its rich culture and profound Buddhist traditions
4. Contribution towards Education and Health

Discounts on Tourist Tariff

• Diplomats from foreign embassies/missions accredited to Bhutan shall be given a 25% discount on the daily rate
• There is no charge for children up to the age of 5 years. However, those between the age of 6 to 12 years accompanied by elders/guardians shall be given 50% discount on the daily rates.
• Full time students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall also be given a 25% discount on daily rates.
• A discount of 50% on the daily rates shall be given to one person in a group of 11 to 15 persons.
• A 100% discount shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 16 persons.
• A discount of 10% on the daily rates shall be provided for halts between11 to 20 nights and 20% discount on halts beyond 21 nights.

Tour Programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

A.Within 30 days of the start of the programme - Free
B.Within 21 days - 10% of the rate
C.Within 14 days - 15% of the rate
D.Within 7 days - 30% of the rate
E.Less than 7 days or cancellation without notice - 50% of the rate
F. After arrival in Bhutan - 100% of the rate
